Superb in Every Way

“Insurance Reconstruction Services, Inc. has recently repaired our home which was damaged by a faulty washing machine.  I feel the job they did was superb in every way. Roland Vincent was a pleasure to work with and did a great job coordinating each phase of the job! Every phone call was promptly returned, all questions answered. Everything was explained to my husband and me. Thank you.

Each worker involved with this job was professional and competent. The carpenters, Ken and “Zip”, were the best! Jesse Koslow of Enviro-Clean, Inc. explained each step his team handled, and we appreciate that.

Sterling Moving & Storage (Michael Corolla) removed all our furniture and returned everything as it was before the move.

Mr. Paige and I would like to commend everyone for a job well done. Thank you.”

You were Different

”We never took a moment to officially thank you for all the work you did for us. We are truly grateful to you and your amazing group of sub contractors who turned our horrible situation into something more than we could have ever dreamed of.

Can you remember when I first got in touch with you? We had just spent the previous six months with water leaking in 5 of the 8 rooms in our house due to the ice dam that had built on our roof. Wall paper was peeling off the walls in the computer room and you could see the mold that was beginning to grow. In that same time period we had been unprofessionally dismissed by two other companies who said we were not a priority. It was a very hard time for us.

Just before we contacted you we were considering literally running away from the house. At the time the insurance company had only given us about seven thousand dollars to renovate all 5 rooms. It just wasn’t enough. I think the insurance adjuster believed we would be happy with a paint job but little did we know there were more issues once we got in the walls. All we could imagine was paying for all the repairs out of pocket and then immediately selling what was supposed to be our forever house because we couldn’t afford it. We were lost.

Thankfully the insurance company referred us to IRS. From the first phone call we had I knew you were different then other project managers/contractors and it allowed us to regain hope. From your first visit to our home till the last you treated us like family. Not only did you did you battle the insurance company for us, to get the funds we truly needed, you made it a personal goal to make sure we were taken care of at every step of the project.

I specifically remember asking you in the beginning…before we got any monies from the insurance company….if we could at least start our baby’s room so she could get back to sleeping in her crib. She had been sleeping in a pack in play in our room for the last 2 months due to the damage in her room. Without asking for a dime you had the dry wall guys (Kevin and Joe) there the next day to get started. That truly meant a lot to us.

Not only did you take us into your heart and treat us like we were family but every person you sent to help with the project did the same. Steve and Victor did the demo of all the walls and got rid of the mold…They were AWESOME! We really hoped Steve would be helping with the remainder of the project but it just didn’t work out that way. Then one day he was there to deliver the cabinets and it was laughs and hugs all around. Kevin and Joe the dry wall guys were so down to earth, funny and extremely professional. Kevin answered all 500 questions we had and genuinely enjoyed doing it.

Joe the painter was great. He was professional and extremely detail oriented. Peter installed a majority of the kitchen and he did a fantastic job. Again when we had a ton of questions for him he would happily answer them. On the last day of the project we got to meet the plumber and the electrician…both men were fantastic. We had general questions for them about other issues in the house and instead of just answering our questions they went above and beyond to actually fix or adjust what we were asking about. Truly stand up guys.

And I can’t forget Grace….or should I say my saving Grace…when you told us we were going to get a whole new kitchen I just about freaked out. I was excited and scared all at the same time. I don’t make decisions lightly and I don’t make renovation decisions very well…I have no idea what colors go with what. But I did as you said and I trusted Grace. And she knocked it out of the park! Although I questioned everything…..I went with everything that Grace suggested and the kitchen is more amazing then we could ever have imagined. Grace’s technique with us was awesome….she was patient and always suggesting new ideas or colors. She allowed me to look at Formica samples for 2 hours and then change my mind to all granite a week later without getting frustrated with me. A true example of her character.

Now that the project is complete we couldn’t be happier. Every day I come home and am so grateful for all that you did for us. Every room reminds us of the great work your team did and the professional standards everyone maintained thru the entire project. You guys were part of our lives for so long we actually miss having you there.

You Gave Us Back Our Home

“The dictionary describes a home as a house, apartment, or other shelter that is the usual residence of a person, family, or household. We describe a home as a place to come to after work and relax. A place to raise a family, a place to have birthday parties and celebrate the holidays. Although not perfect (how much was that deck off Ken?), our house was our sanctuary, the place we raised our children, the place we called home.

On August 28, 2011, hurricane Irene changed our lives forever. My family and I will never forget the crash of the tree on our home. Major damage was done and we knew we were going to need some extensive repairs. We hired Insurance Reconstruction and knew we were going to be in good hands. Ray assured us he would work with the insurance company, although at the time I am sure he did not know how challenging that was going to be! He drew up estimate after estimate, met with adjusters, talked to insurance agents and dealt with some stressed-out homeowners. He was always calming and helpful. Ray brought in the best crew to begin the repairs to our home. Ken and Joe arrived daily with materials and tools in hand. Everyday there was so much progress we were always amazed. And everyday, they cleaned up when they left (sometimes it looked better than when we lived here!). The scheduling of contractors and work was done with precision. People arrived on the day and time scheduled and work was done on schedule or earlier. Many other contractors were brought in, tilers, plasters, electricians, plumbers and painters. Everyone who worked on our home, worked on it like it was their own, and it showed.

We want to thank Ray, Ken, Joe and all the workers who helped repair our home. We will think of you all when we are grilling on our new beautiful deck and just enjoying our home again. Although we will never forget the tree falling on our home, we will always remember the wonderful people who helped us through a very difficult time, the people who gave us back our home.”
